This really isn’t news, is it? I heard years ago that the traditional zodiac did not actually match the sky. Anyway now apparently I’m a Scorpio, which of course means ten different things if you read ten different explanations of what a Scorpio is supposed to be like. It’s kind of exclusive, though, as apparently this sign lasts only seven days. ---

So I guess Ophiuchus is a type of “leap sign”. ---

So the new zodiac sign is called “Ophiuchus?” Am I the only one who reads that as “Oh, fuck us?” Seems appropriate for some, but not me. I’m still a fish. Woohoo! ---

Hadn’t heard about the thirteenth zodiac, but I believe that I have read that there’s been enough drift in the cosmos that whatever calculations are used to determine which sign goes to which date is horribly adrift and hasn’t been updated. They’ve just kept the same general place on the lunar calendar since the Greek ages. (No idea if this is true.) ---

Well, I’m a Capricorn now. 🙂 True story: When I was a kid I thought sincerely that I was a Pisces, so I did check the horoscope there, naive as I was I thought that the horoscopes did match a lot with my life. Of course they all did as I checked many past magazines when I looked carefully after I found that I was an Aquarius (Before this new bit of info came out). Seeing how deceptive astrology was, it was one of the first things that set me on the path of skepticism and agnosticism since my early teens. ---
