She still needs help if she thinks that’s good parenting, and it really didn’t look like a fantasy scene to me, looked like that’s how she treats the kid. ---

I like the one where the Mayhem guy is a teenaged girl driving a pink car and he says something like, “My BFF just texted me that she kissed Johnny… but _I_ like Johnny. And I’m like _OMG_…” and then he runs into a car. That one cracks me up every time. I DO NOT get the one that I think is for a refrigerator or something. The family has pulled into the garage with groceries, but instead of carrying them into the house in bags like normal people, they’re passing each item hand over hand “bucket brigade” style to mom, who puts each thing in the fridge. Milk, watermelon, orange juice. Can’t figure that one out for the life of me. ---

There’s, I think, one bag of groceries and everything else is just piled into the car. Why aren’t the groceries bagged? Why doesn’t everyone grab a couple of bags and bring them in while mom unloads them into the fridge? They could get the same point across and it would make a lot more sense. My wife asked me why I was getting so worked up over a stupid commercial. ---

There’s a Ford commercial around here–local, I think–that uses some horrible pop song that has a bit about “this is not a drive-by” in it. I hates it, I does. Mostly I can avoid it with DVR, but I have a local sports dive I visit regularly, and if it happens to be on there… On the other side, I am all for more of the GEICO pig. 😃 ---

She used to always turn from the computer and start some random conversation with me when she was loading a program. I told her she only wants to talk with me when something is buffering. She said, “Yeah, you caught me…I needed a buffer bitch\*.” Anyway, I can’t stand this [commercial](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jkTnBzXPP8g&feature=related). Everyone in my family hates this lady with a passion. It is hard to annoy me with commercials. With a lot of the “Commercials you hate” threads, I find myself liking most of the commercials posted. I’m not the kind who gets angry at being marketed to, I don’t get repulsed by eating sounds, or messy faced babies…I just usually don’t get worked up about a commercial. Imagine my surprise and finding out this commercial can make me homicidal. \*I know kids shouldn’t be calling their mom a bitch, but me and my daughter have a special understanding when it comes to joking…she would never use language that others might find offensive around strangers or elders or whatever, I’ve heard all the lectures already. ---

Not so much a commercial as its slogan: _Navy - a global force for good._ Seriously? That’s how you’re trying to get volunteers to go to sea? [geezer mode] Back in my day, we got “It’s not just a job - it’s an adventure.” [/gm] My husband and I are both Navy veterans and we hate the current ad campaign. ---

It seems like my T.V. viewing, at night at least, has been inundated as of late with [these Joe Theismann infomercials](http://paidprogramming.org/go/superbetaprostate/) for some prostate supplement. I saw the ad fifty bajillion times before I noticed the ‘name’ of one of the “users” of Super Beta Prostate who was giving his testimonial for the product: **Ken P.** 😛_ **Ken P.** _ Fucking priceless… (For those who have seen this commercial and are wondering; it’s the black guy) ---

Obscure complaint it may be, but there’s a current advert for McDonald’s that has a nerdy guy on a park bench, trying to impress a lady by faking knowledge of a French sculptor, that bugs the hell out of me. OK, so men are habitual liars whenever they speak to women, that’s a bog-standard commercial meme. What really bugs me is that during the whole commercial, he’s holding his cup of McDonald’s coffee _like no one in real life has ever held a cup of coffee anywhere_. Ever. I’m not sure how to explain it, but the hand is in a very odd and unnatural position. It’s clear the Director was instructed to make sure the logo was visible on the cup, but the result somehow just looks…disturbing. ---
