Hm, nonfiction books are kind of unnecessary nowadays with Google, but I’ll go with the World Atlas. National borders, geography, climate readings, all provide a core basis for the way people think and act. Favorite “Hey, it’s that guy” actor ---

ST:TOS _The Cage_, which was later recycled into the 2-episode _The Menagerie_ - Roddenberry mainly did it to reduce production time between episodes, but it turned out to be an intriguing look into the Enterprise’s past. Favorite use of a real-life person in an otherwise fictional TV series ---

Robin Williams in an episode of “Mork And Mindy” where they went to see Robin Williams at a comedy store. He used the character of Mork to analyze why he felt the need to be “on” all the time.
