Indiana has a plate that says “Children first” across the bottom. It’s one of a number of specialty plates you can get by making a charitable contribution. The money from this one goes to help children, but I’m actually not sure in what capacity. Anyway, I saw one where someone had gotten this specialty plate, along with the vanity label “EAT THE.” I kinda like that one. I also like the one I saw yesterday that said COVFEFE. YMF language, besides your native one. ---

I suppose you don’t mean “soy,” you mean something like “smart dogs” that are made from soy. I am totally crazy for **Tofurky**. DH and I have learned to prepare it to such perfection, that we serve it to non-vegetarians/vegans, and they rave about it. Funny thing is, when I ate meat, I _hated_ turkey. Tofurky is available only around Thanksgiving, so we always buy a case (it comes frozen), then we have one for all the birthdays and holidays-- since the Conservative movement changed it stance on kitniyot, we can now even have it for Passover. Ooooooooooo. Tofurky. YMF food you like now, that you had to be coaxed, threatened, or bribed into trying. ---

I’m not quite sure what the definition of “factoid” is-- is it something demonstrably false, or just a speculation that took on a life of its own? I’m going with the second definition, and choosing that the J-thread of the Torah was written by a woman. All the evidence for this is, to put is politely, “internal.” And there is lots of “external” evidence against it, like the extremely high rates of female illiteracy at the time. But it’s fun to speculate. Favorite theory regarding the identity of Jack the Ripper (not necessarily the one you think is most likely to be true-- possibly just the one you find the most entertaining). ---
