Jeez, mine seems rather tame compared to all these. Even I was offended by a few of them. There’s a spectacular BBQ restuarant in Charleston, SC, called Sticky Fingers. I got a t-shirt that says Sticky Fingers on the front and “Come Lick our Bones” on the back. And I wore it to work on casual Friday. 😃 ---

I have a t-shirt that’s sort of like those MAD-magazine fold ins. It looks like this: - E I I G Y \* - P O C R \* OFF You pull the shirt up or down to connect the dots and it says “FUCK”. I had some cashier ask me about it when I was in Barnes and Noble once. “What does that shirt mean? Is it a different language?” I almost said yes, but said, “It’s sort of like those MAD-magazine fold ins.” He paused. “Oh.” He furrowed his brow. “Your mother lets you wear shirts like that?” Pissed off I said, “Yes. She bought me this shirt!” (she didn’t really; it used to belong to my father) ---

Forgot to mention another one. Not really offensive, but it might be depending on your political party. 😉 I got it from [Goats.com](http://Goats.com). It’s blue and says “Republicans For Voldemort”. A lot of people I know don’t get it. ---

I got sent home from high school in 1965 for wearing a grey work shirt that was stenciled “State Prison 47306.” I wear one now that says, “The people who cast the votes decide nothing. The people who count the votes decide everything.” --Josef Stalin. Two angry people called me a Commie over that. I told 'em the quote was actually from Florida’s Governor Jeb Bush. (Actually, I suspect Joe Stalin was not the first to say it.) A pal asked me to bring him a t-shirt from New Orleans. He was pistov when I brought him one that said, “Reality is for people who can’t handle drugs.” He said he couldn’t wear it anywhere. Maybe that’s because he was a real-life dope dealer. He doesn’t do that anymore, unless the prison guards have some programs I don’t know about. ---

My only offensive t-shirt that I own is one with the kanji for a phrase (can’t recall the exact wording, just the translation, sorry.) “Hentai Philosophy.” I got called on wearing it at a family buffet resturaunt by an oriental family. They just wanted to make sure I knew what it said. It’s been a LONG time since I’d blushed like that. 😃 Of course I used to get black looks for my various Navy t-shirts worn on a college campus. But I really don’t think of them as offensive. (“USS Virginia - Always Sailing the Seas of Time” WTF’s offensive about that? If they’ve got a problem with that, they’d really hate to hear what I would talk about with my free speach.) ---

I have a personal policy against wearing clothing with words emblazoned on it. So I can only tell you about the T-shirt an old friend of mine wore, that offended almost everybody. It was for a seafood restaurant that specialized in clams. It read: SUCK ME OFF the half-shell I don’t know how he had the parts to wear it in public. I couldn’t do it. ---

Nothing particularly offensive here, but I saw one at the local fair a couple weeks ago. “I FUCK SHEEP” quite hilarious as we have a very large sheep exhibition hall at the fair. Another is a guy I work with, he’ll wear it to work under a button up shirt, “Free Hand lotion, Pump here” With an arrow pointing down. ---

I no longer own anything potentially offensive (I had a great “fuck” t-shirt in college), but two of my current shirts always get a reaction: The first says “Who’s Your Daddy?” (in large white letters, outlined in neon blue, on a black background). It was given to me by a friend: that line was used in our favorite TV show once, and when my friend found the shirt in a local mall he got it for me as a gag gift. The comment I hear the most when I wear it is, “What a great shirt for a woman!” 🙂 The second is my Iron Maiden polo shirt. It’s black, and plain except for a yellow embroidered Maiden smiley (which is snarling) on the left chest and “[www.ironmaiden.com](http://www.ironmaiden.com)” over the right sleeve cuff. (I’d post a link, but it doesn’t seem to be available from the online store anymore.) Most people just see the snarling smiley and don’t know what to think of it, but the ones who notice the URL always feel compelled to express their surprise.
