I thought Potter and I called my brother last night to talk about the events of the day and when I brought up Cheney he interrupted me to say, “He looked like Mr. Potter from a wonderful life.” I note Jon Stewart went with Blofeld from Bond (with the white cat) or Dr. Strangelove. ---

I see Cheney-in-wheelchair more as a portlier version of [Davros](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_4Ae7hyGejU&feature=related) from “Doctor Who.” True, Cheney’s own mechanical implants aren’t nearly as visible, but the arrogant megalomania is certainly spot-on. I wonder what’s _really_ being tinkered on in Halliburton’s biological weapons division… ---

Definitely Mr. Potter. I think he was even carrying a folded newspaper with Uncle Billie’s bank deposit in it. I also couldn’t help but imagine him thinking “who can I torture with this cane on my way out?” ---

I liked the earlier Davros, where he was a sort of cybernetic Saruman, persuasive and subtly manipulative, rather than the ranting caricature he later became. ---
