Ooh, an exciting shift in votes! I wonder if it always plays out like this, or if I’m just paying more attention this time.
With less than 23 hours to go before the poll closes, I just wanted to drop a line encouraging people to vote.
The poll is now closed, and so is the June 2010 SDMB Poetry Sweatshop. I want to first thank and congratulate our poets - Cuckoorex, In Winnipeg, Shot From Guns, Elendil’s Heir, melodyharmonius, Le Ministre de l’au-delà, HardlySanguine and ** BarkingDog** - take a well deserved bow.
And a very special, hearty congratulations to Elendil’s Heir, who is a two-time Poet Laureate of the SDMB - April 2010 for Theseus in Darkness and now June 2010 for Border Checkpoint Eight.
And again, many thanks to the Mods for their ongoing support - it is greatly appreciated!
Til late July - my best wishes to all of you!
Many thanks - that was fun! Will koeeoaddi tell us what s/he meant now?
Congratulations, Elendil’s Heir, your poem was wonderful!
Like I said, this was an amazing batch – not only wasn’t there a clunker among them, they were, IMO, all frighteningly good. The one that spoke to me, though, was The Economies of Fate, by the interesting, but disinterested poet, Shot From Guns.
I can’t believe you all wrote these in so short a time.
koeeoaddi,
she
Congratulations, Elendil’s Heir, and thank you, koeeoaddi!
Thanks again for hosting, Ministre. I’m going to try to do this again the next time it comes around, and not hobble myself so much.
