Those Best Of… albums. Even if you don’t end up buying them thanks to already owning all the records, you can’t help noticing that there are always some of your particular favorites the band’s left off and some, well, still-great-but-not-THAT-great-compared-to-rest-of-band’s-production songs that they’ve chosen to include. So, if you got to make your own Best Of… album(s) for your favorite band(s), what would it include? I’m limiting my Best Of… albums to twelve tracks to ensure that they really are the Best Of. **Kantalooppi’s Best Of Pixies** 1. Velouria 2. River Euphrates 3. Debaser 4. Gigantic 5. Wave of Mutilation 6. Caribou 7. Monkey Gone To Heaven 8. Here Comes Your Man 9. Alec Eiffel 10. Where Is My Mind? 11. Mr. Grieves 12. Is She Weird? **Kantalooppi’s Best of Dead Kennedys** 1. Holiday in Cambodia 2. Moon Over Marin 3. Chemical Warfare 4. Kill The Poor 5. Straight A’s 6. California Über Alles 7. Halloween 8. Jock-O-Rama 9. Pull My Strings 10. MTV Get Off The Air 11. Soup is Good Food 12. Trust Your Mechanic ---

Hmmmm… I don’t listen to “bands”, per se, but I am trying to think of some favorite tracks from my favorite film composer, Jerry Goldsmith… Hmmmm…thinking… OK: 1. “Carnival Happening” from _Justine_ 2. “Bajo Fuego” from _Under Fire_ 3. “You’re Renewed” from _Logan’s Run_ 4. “End Titles” from _Russia House_ 5. “The Trees” from _Medicine Man_ 6. “The Hotel” from _The Shadow_ 7. “Frontal Lobotomy” from _The Shadow_ 8. “Wild Rovers” from _Wild Rovers_ 9. “Winter March” from _Patton_ 10. “Rafael” froom _Under Fire_ 11. “Noah Cross” from _Chinatown_ 12. “Short Hair” from _Mulan_ 13. “Caravan” from _The Mummy_ 14. “Spock Walk” from _Star Trek: TMP_ There are many more, from films like “Planet of the Apes” and “L.A. Confidential”, “Star Trek: First Contact” and many more, but I can’t think of the track names. ---

This is going to be controversial, but anyway - **The Best of Metallica** 1. Master of Puppets 2. Seek and Destroy 3. Welcome Home (Sanotarium) 4. Enter Sandman 5. Nothing Else Matters 6. Bleeding Me 7. Turn the Page 8. Sad but True 9. The Memory Remains 10. Astronomy 11. One 12. The Call of Ktulu No. 7 and 10 are both remakes but they’re quite different from the original songs anyway and I think they are pretty good. ---

**Herzeleid** by Rammstein 1. Wollt ihr Das Bett in Flammen Sehen (one of the best songs ever) 2. Der Meister 3. Weisses Fleisch 4. Asche zu Asche 5. Seeman (slow, but another great song) 6. Du Riechst so Gut 7. Das Alte Leid 8. Heirate Mich 9. Herzeleid (best song of the album) 10. Laichzeit 11. Rammstein Though I said 1, 5, & 9 were great, I just meant they were the best of the album. Every song on here is great, 'cept laichzeit. If you know what the lyrics mean, you can get a little disgusted. ---
