I’m AMAZED at the lack of the original Star Wars movies on these lists! Looks like the LOTR has taken over the “geek” section of everyone’s movie lists! Trainspotting 3. The Godfather 4. Sense & Sensibility 5. Persuasion (with Ciaran Hinds/Amanda Root) 6. Pride & Prejudice (BBC/Colin Firth) 7. Office Space 8. Empire Strikes Back 9. Star Wars 10. The Shawshank Redemption Notorious belongs on there somewhere too- I couldn’t just do 10 ---

The original trilogy is like the girl everybody was in love with back in high school. Back then, she was sweet, innocent, and irresistible. Now she’s on her third husband, second face-lift, and smokes like a chimney. It’s hard to keep that same feeling, you know? Note: this is coming from someone who did have an OT entry on his list. ---
