Without a female, this will start to look a little too much like Kids in the Hall, but most of the SNL ladies were kinda one-trick ponies. What the Hell… 12: Jan Hooks. Pt: 2) Norm would do update alone. I like Tina Fey, but I don’t know how well Norm would play with others. 1. I guess I would go with the Deep Thoughts, probably more than just Jack Handey writing for it. ---

Weekend Update: Dennis Miller (and I’ll go out on a limb and say I actually enjoyed K. Nealon’s WU. Not a favorite, but FAR better than some others!) Segments- Cartoons Host- John Goodman (since Tom Hanks was taken!) Musical Guest- Nirvana Music Director- Paul Schaeffer Exec. Producer- Doumanian (sp?)🙂 ---

I didn’t say that I hadn’t watched the show at all, did I? Additionally, both Murphy and Hartman have reputations that go beyond SNL. ---

I haven’t watched it much in the past 20 years, so I won’t post a dream team. But if I did, it would definitely include Jane Curtin, who IMHO was the funniest of the original cast (“Jane you ignorant slut” is what everyone remembers, but her putdowns of Dan Ackroyd were much funnier). Steve Martin and Dennis Miller would not be allowed within 10 miles of the set. BTW, who is this “Curtain” person? ---

I loved the early 90’s SNL and I almost can’t stand to watch it now. Here’s my dream team in no particular order: 1. Phil Hartman 2. Dana Carvey 3. Mike Myers 4. Eddie Murphy 5. Chris Farley 6. Adam Sandler 7. Darrell Hammond (the only real talent on the newer seasons) 8. Jon Lovitz (playing the devil, of course) 9. Chris Rock (surprised he’s not on more lists!) 10. Jan Hooks 11. Julia Sweeney 12. David Spade (but just for Hollywood Minute) Weekend Update: Dennis Miller Deep Thoughts and Smigel are both great! ---
