Mrs. Shibb and the Shibblets or the Shibblings, depending on my mood. They are individual referred to as The Boy and The Girl, which is actually one of the ways we refer to them at home. ---

Well, I’m not married to him, so the hypothetical-Mr.-Corrvin is actually “the Raven.” Given my poly-proclivities, “Mr. Corrvin” could refer to far too many people, so I probably won’t ever use it. The Raven’s child is the Ravenlet. I do admit that I used to drive a Chevy _Corrsica_, but that’s as far as the cuteness goes for me. Corr ---

Up to now, I’ve referred to him as “my spouse” most of the time, but this thread has me considering a change. Perhaps, from now on, he shall be known hereabouts as **Mr. Wanna**. Hmmm, how strangely appropriate. ---

I call the hubby “the hubby” (which is a bit of a family joke) or Mr. Fries. I realize a bit obscure. Even among Dopers, it’s a bit much to expect the reader remember that Fries (rhymes with “breeze”) is the last name of the heroine of _Podkayne of Mars_. But I’ve gotten into the habit, and I’m unlikely to stop. Just to further confuse the issue, I sometimes refer to myself as Prof. Fries. I, for one, enjoy the twee names for SOs and kids, and I wish I had a clevere user name so I could be twee-er. 😛 ---

My ex-wife is simply _Shewhoshallnotbementioned_. My sweety is either my gf, S.O., or whatever term springs forth. My kids are sort of like sacred deities to me, in that I do not mention them by any name.😉 ---

**rogerthornihill** --I am with you in spirit, but when it’s well done, I don’t mind the twee-ness. I can live with it. I refer to spouse as hubby or husband. Kids are the kids or son/daughter. How could I get twee? Eleanor Rigby died alone in a church–nobody came. I guess hubby could be Father MacKenzie–but that gets a bit weird! ---

I call my SO “my SO” or something along those lines, and the little beetles don’t mind being referred to as little beetles. IRL, they occasionally get called “the boy” or “the girl”. I guess it’s better than being “the little shits.” ---

There’s no wife or kids. I will sometimes refer to my female parental unit as **Momstre** , though. Any future kids would probably have to be referred to as **Monstrelings**. ---
