**Ambushed** , it boils down to the fact that you threw out the first insult (post 91) in the GD thread. **Orcenio** responded to that and the thread sat for three weeks until you decided to come back and retaliate–both in that thread and here–in a manner so completely overblown and out of proportion that all anyone can do is point and laugh. When called on it you fail to acknowledge your folly and continue to play the victim while throwing insults at all who dare to point out your foolishness. You may sound smart, but it appears you’re a slow learner. ---

It’s really like listening to music that’s just “off” in some way—unpleasant. If someone like Scylla had decided to go off on a long insulting rant it would have at least been a fun thing to read. But **ambushed** doesn’t have that skill. That’s fine, not everyone does, and it’s not a testament to anything other than not being a gifted writer. Actually I think that our insistence on adopting a particular tone is much-acknowledged; it’s just that it is usually approached from the other end of the literacy spectrum. New members who post in txt or 1337 get ignored, mocked or (at best) strongly encouraged to write in coherent sentences. But I disagree that this was the case here. I suspect that in any group anywhere using any idiom, expressing yourself in a way that strongly implies (if not states outright) that you’re the smartest guy in the room and anyone who doesn’t agree with you is clearly too dumb to understand what you’re talking about will not win you many friends regardless of the topic. ---

My commitment to that thread was making 3 short posts (none of which were outrageous) before **Ambushed** decided I was the complete and utter bane of his existence.
