Glitch is the name of the Guardian key tool from a little show call ReBoot. Love that show. Anyway, Glitch is a little box that sits on Guardian Bob’s left forearm, and can do … well, just about anything. Ok. This is cheesy. My Dad thinks that my ‘real’ name, last mostly, sounds like a gangster/mob type of name so he labeled me; first name-middle-The Doll-last name. There it is, just a daddy’s girl. ---

Obviously, mine is a pun on “reality check.” I started using it on a Shakespeare discussion board, since I spent a lot of time deflating some rather bizarre and fanciful theories (for the record – there’s no evidence that Shakespeare was gay, that Othello had anything to do with 20th century race relations, or that anyone other than William Shakespeare of Stratford wrote the plays and poems attributed to him). My real name is nothing like Missy. I work for 100+ engineers. They say “Hey, can you do this/get this/figure this out/blah blah blah whatever for me?” and I say “That’s MISSY to YOU!” and them, being engineers and some not real bright, laugh. I never said it was a GOOD explanation. ---

In Norse mythology, Mjollnir (there are many alternate spellings), which is Norse for “miller,” was the name of Thor’s hammer. I’ve had a fascination with hammers going back to 3rd grade when I read “Call it Courage” by Armstrong Sperry. ---
