No significant original content yet, but two of my faves: “Dux”, about the female singer’s hometown, and “Main Street”, about the record store owner who threw them out, just to be an A-hole. ---

The Gathering (mostly from the Anneke van Giersbergen era, with a bit of the new stuff as well) basically in chronological order: 1. [Strange Machines](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BqHHxAWOORQ) 2. [The May Song](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mrOIb1j7I0U) 3. [Nighttime Birds](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZeX3q8NnX5o) 4. [Rescue Me](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VrxKcdusqyY) (One of my favorites; I think it really showcases the greatest strengths of the band) 5. [My Electricity](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oavq8rDnJV4) 6. [Travel](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ynDmEFg6MHw) 7. [Probably Built In The Fifties](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9KPWrcqs0zE) 8. [Analog Park](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eE6A92yMBlA) 9. [Saturnine](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LiBDjCFUBxg&feature=related) 10. [Broken Glass](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T-5N6QmV5-g) 11. [Morphia’s Waltz](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K8I4R3FoBM0) I wonder if Anneke sings this as a lullabye to her son. 12. [Even the Spirits are Afraid](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4kZzBmN7JNg) 13. [You Learn About It](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=27V8_cIScCo) 14. [Monsters](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fKPJ15k4cV8) 15. [Locked Away (Acoustic version)](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-tYyjToMReQ) 16. [Waking Hour](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5utjENfRZGo) 17. [Forgotten](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GSpY9vZ4Uoo) 18. [You Promised Me a Symphony](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yIlPlrDEGy4) First song on the list with the new singer, Silje formerly from Octavia Sperata; hard to follow Anneke, but she’s very good as well! 19. [Pale Traces](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t4MxmlNaK1I) This one is also off the latest album, but with Marcela Bovia on vocals. 20. [A Constant Run](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q28Xj2jvT9w) Another one with the new lead, Silje. Bonus track! Anneke’s new band, Agua de Annique’s song “[Yalin.](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v7L9wM9xiJQ)” (though in this case it’s just Anneke and not the band.) ---
