I wonder why those locations think it wrong enough to not allow people to drink essentially anything before driving while you seem to think it is okay? My fault, I forgot to set the amount for a standard 12oz bottle. Still, most countries have limits between .05-.08, only a very few are .02. ---

No problem. Look at the populations of some of those countries in the .02 and .03 range, though. It isn’t a small minority of people who essentially could be found to be breaking the law after only a medium sized beer. ---

Okay. In light of the fact that the OP obviously isn’t going to pursue filing a complaint against the officer in question, I’m going to go ahead and call at least some measure of bullshit on his tale. At the very least, there must be more to the story than he’s telling us about. That is all. ---

I’ve reads through three pages of this, and there are two questions lingering that have not been addressed…that I could spot. How did the OP get back to work (was the cop sitting in the parking lot waiting, did he decide not to drink the beer, etc) and where do you work that allows you to drink during the day? If I came back from lunch smelling like beer, I’d probably get asked to leave. ---

Even when they didn’t go, they knew that the guys were going right across the street to Tully’s for burgers and beers. Why do folks even doubt stories like this? In a huge, varied, wide free country, where private businesses thrive, you honestly have trouble imagining that things may be done differently at some places of business than others? And he explained in the OP that he poured the beer out. ---
