one beer might be drinking and driving but only if you are super small, at my size one beer with a meal would be undetectable (as in I wouldnt even feel it) but I am a 220# male, an average beer doesnt even get me to .02 that cop has issues of some kind to say the least. ---

Oddly enough, no matter how much water or pop the average person is capable of drinking it seldom leads to them being more of a danger on the road. ---

It actually depends on where you’re from. I live in a county comprised of a lot of tiny cities and a couple of bigger ones (meaning, more than 100,000 people.) In the smaller cities, I’d advise steering clear of about 80% of the PDs. Seriously. They’re a bunch of bored cowboys. If they don’t find any action to keep them entertained on a Friday night, they’re gonna _find_ some. In the bigger cities, there’s a little more leeway. I’d say to be wary of about 60% of the cops. They tend to have more serious crime to keep them occupied and are a little less likely to harass Tommy the Tweaker every time they see him walking down the street. I work with an investigator in my office who is a retired cop. He’s one of the good guys. He’s told me some infuriating stories and thinks cop’s behavior today is more of a generational thing. Back in his day, cops were out to actually arrest criminals, they weren’t out to prove what big bad men they are. He can’t stand the cops in our county today, he’s ashamed of them. One of the D.A.s I work with regularly also tells me how she routinely gets phone calls from cops yelling at her whenever she dismisses one of my cases (usually because the cops did something shady that I was actually able to confirm.) They tend to take it _real_ seriously whenever one of their arrests gets thrown out in court. They’re not quite smart enough to put two and two together though, and stop doing shady shit. I’m telling you, hatched from the same egg as my repeat clients. Exact same mentality. Same actions, expecting a different result. ---
