If I want to go to an event, it helps to get there before everyone has turned to dust and what’s left of the venue is occupied solely by cockroaches. ---

If my movement limit is 10 mph, then I’d be hitching rides on things like the ISS and rockets that go to and from there. I like this thread. Many are trying to categorize or define what the ghost would be. Am I of infinite size? Can I fit into the hip pocket of an 11 year old so I can go on the Coney Island Cyclone? And what would it MEAN to me to do so, since I lack mass and with it inertia and all corporeal sensations? I suspect I’d rapidly go insane as a casual observer with zero ability to interact. Would I resolve this desperation by doing a deep dive into history? Would I find a way to discover the thousands of as-of-yet undiscovered scrolls/ tablets documenting the ancient world? Am I my size but without all mass? Am I in control of the sizes I want to be to suit a particular interest? I’d stay away from family and friends. Were I capable of feeling emotional pain, I’d want to avoid all of that. Fresh and unknown situations would suit me best. Would it be interesting to “haunt” ( take up proximal residence ) one person from the moment of birth to death? Would it be wildly entertaining or desperately sad? Hard to know, n’est pas? ---

At 10 miles per hour, no stopping, no resting, you could cross the continental United States in two weeks, and probably get anywhere in the world within a year. With a bit of planning you’ll get wherever you want before the roaches. ---

Just a thought - If I’m truly stuck here, and if a form of communication could be found, I could work for the CIA. I could travel the world and get valuable intelligence on scumbags like Putin. They would never know how in God’s name their secrets were being revealed. I could even set up other scumbags and make it look like they were responsible and get rid of them that way. ---

I think it would be interesting to visit a few places that are either inaccessible (that church in Ethiopia where they claim to have the Ark of the Covenant) or dangerous to visit if you are alive (and want that state to persist) - either because they are a bit too murdery or just physically dangerous for a living human, like an erupting volcano. ---

Are you the only ghost? Can you see other ghosts? Because with about a million times more dead people than currently living people, getting to see things is going to be even more of a drag than it is now. “Hey Ben Franklin, stop hogging the Moan Lisa. Move outta the way!” I’m picturing walking across the ocean floor to get to Europe. I guess you could follow the transatlantic cables. Better not get lost and walk in circles. By the time you get out it could be the year 2525. ---

I think within a very short period of time I would be begging for an actual death. No sleeping, no eating, no drinking. No bodily functions and no bodily pleasures. It would be like passively watching TV. Forever. Really good TV, but please somebody kill me proper. ---

I’d wonder about the ramifications of my existence. So my consciousness and senses are persisting despite the fact that my brain and body are dead (probably cremated by now). How’s that possible? Do people who had senile dementia when they died get their minds back? Where is Heaven or Hell or God in all this? Am I alone or are there other spirits whether human or not? Is this truly a supernatural afterlife or am I a simulation in a computer somewhere? ---

Also, if you want to disrupt Putin’s plans in Ukraine, first you have to learn to speak Russian. Can’t click on Duolingo or open a book, so it’s back to school for you. By the time you’re ready, Ukraine is the new Crimea. But it doesn’t matter anyway…you have no way of sharing Putin’s strategies wth Zelensky. Now, if possession is possible, all new fun and games can be had.
