Yup, me too. Frenches.

On a good brat only mustard and sour kraut are okay, a scrap hotdog needs all the fixin’s: ketchup, mustard, onion, glowing relish.

Wife likes:

Eggs with salsa
Fries with mayo or sweat n sour sauce.
Rueben with no sour kraut.

My pick (probably not a popular one) is pulled pork. For pete’s sake, why? Roast pork is best eaten right out of the fire. Let it cool and dry and it becomes inedible, IMO. When talking about a whole roast pork, my country is a great one for it. Eat it right out of the fire, right from the spit.

I like to put processed sharp cheddar spread on plums – a similar combination of savory and sweet, with just a little fruity tartness in there too.

Me too. The very existence of hot dog snobs always amuses me. This isn’t filet mignon, it’s a way of getting people to eat the less attractive parts of the cow, pig, or other animal.

Eggs with salsa: me too!
Fries with mayo: I wouldn’t do it myself, but whatever flicks her Bic.
But this ‘sweat n sour sauce’ sounds kinda gross, actually. 😉

This thread has totally confused me, I thought hot dogs and ketchup was standard.

I will have Dijon mustard on the side with anything. Including fish.

I like to eat crisps (potato chips) with chocolate. Bite one then the other.

My mother serves a full english breakfast (sausage, bacon, fried eggs, mushrooms etc) with grilled cheese on the side. She actually puts the cheese on the plate and puts it under the grill. Delish.

Maybe, but it’s not like the no-ketchup snobs shut up about it if you’re just eating any old hot dog purchased from a random street cart.

Gotta admit, I’m kinda curious about these hot dogs that are made from the good cuts of meat. I don’t believe I’ve ever seen them in the stores.

I’m the opposite. I drink white wine, even with steak.
and I often drink red wine chilled, too.

I also agree about eating ketchup on hot dogs, the High Master’s pronouncements to the contrary notwithstanding.

[Here are some.](http://www.rodalesorganiclife.com/wellbeing/11-best-hot-dogs) It looks like most of them just have regional specialty-store distribution.

A step down from those, you might look at Hebrew National. They’re not the all-grass-fed organic beef, but they are kosher, without fillers or variety parts.

I hope that’s not wrong. I also like them with mustard. But for God’s sake don’t put mayo on there!

Or if you live near a Waffle House, Scattered, Smothered, Covered, and now you can also add Country. Scattered (spread out on the grill), smothered (with onions), covered (slice of American cheese), country (covered in sausage gravy).

I like dipping fries in a ketchup and mustard mix. BBQ is also fine. If you get your fries from Wendy’s you can also dip them in your Frosty. I’ve seen websites dedicated to that fine delicacy. mmmmm mmmm

I always eat sushi pieces in two bites. It’s hard to keep the second bite from falling apart, but I just don’t like putting that much in my mouth at once.

When I get a Chipotle-style burrito I cut it open and eat the insides with a fork, what I call the laparotomy method. I still eat some of the tortilla. I know you can just get it naked, but for some reason I don’t want to.

I’m a card-carrying member of the Southern Foodways Alliance, and yet I like a little sugar in my cornbread. Don’t tell the folks in Oxford, they won’t let me come to the Symposium this year.

I prefer kiwifruits when they’re underripe, and when snacking on an apple my go to variety is Granny Smith. (Apparently you’re supposed to use those for cooking.)

Back before I went veg, I used to put honey on chicken, so nowadays I use maple syrup on TVP.

MadMex offers any of their burritos made up “bare” as barerritos, that is all the innards served in a bowl.
