(For the purpose of this post the shark cloaca has been referred to as a “butt”. Accept this as poetic license and not a claim of strict scientific accuracy.)

Quite a bit of artistic license in the picture of Mama shark and Baby. It seems to suggest Baby was born from an enlarged gill slit.

Yeah. Them babies do eat each other as Mommy swims away. They are born biting.  
Some times they eat in utero.  
Sick.
