I’d scrap the whole system and warn people about movies that are too childish.

I’d give some thought to having a “stupid plot” rating.

I will say again that much of what people are asking for in this thread can be found at www.kids-in-mind.com - descriptions of all potentially offensive scenes, # of profanities by type (scatalogical, religious, ethnic slurs, etc), numerical ratings on violence, sex, and profanity, etc.

I just checked out that site. They seem a bit ridiculous, especially on what they consider falling into the nudity or sex category. Apparently any skin other than foreams, shins, or necks will net you a ding. It also seems that any physical contact between people will get you a mention as well. It’s almost bizarre.
