Not true. Of my three thousand odd posts, there must be a good six or seven where I’ve fought ignorance with some success. I can even find a candidate post, where I go into a fair bit of detail explaining why penny auction sites are a [scam](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=602843&page=2). ---

I’m pretty sure the Straight Dope column is the one fighting ignorance. We just talk about it, fairly intelligently, if I say so myself. ---

Are you referring to the ad following your post? Not everyone sees the same ad, but I admit that I am ignorant as to whether that debt relief program is a scam. (I’m gonna go with scam, though) ---
