You're So Vain, by Carly Simon. Who is the subject?

I saw a interview where she talked alot about a teenage family friend who she had sexual relationship with when she very young…10 or 11…that would be a naive time …i think! It was a different time forsure!

I had no idea there was this much hoopla over this song; I always thought that she was making a sly jab at the men (and their over-inflated egos) in her listening audience.

I’ve never given this song much in the way of deep thought or analysis.

Seems like we had a thread about this a while ago. I mentioned that I had heard speculation that it was about David Geffen, and that idea got shot down pretty quick.

You misspelled Cafe Society. Literally.

What were you doing on Aug 21st of this year?

It’s just the new format that makes it look that way.

I do know it was actually written by Jack Donaghy.

I went “to see the total eclipse of the sun”.

I’m where I should be, all the time.

Damn. It is about you!!

It took me 5 tries to figure out how the new multi-quote function works. I felt like Sawyer in Lost when he was in the polar bear cage trying to get a fish biscuit.

Hang in there, you get to lay Kate soon.
