You ever spend hours just clicking links just searching for SOMETHING to make all that time wasted worthwhile? It’s like gambling at a casino - you don’t want you accept that you just relinquished 30 minutes of your valuable time for naught, so you keep clicking; rifling through your bookmarks, exhausting the history drop-down box of your address bar, hoping you’ll stumble upon some discovery that’s exciting as finding VGcats or Homestar Runner was. Pretty soon, it’s 10:15, you click refresh on Cafe Society one more time and see that still, no one has posted a new response to your thread, and hop into bed filled with depression over the fact that not only will you wake up to a sink full of dishes no clean undershirts, and another day of the same Netflix discs you’ve had for two weeks, but you didn’t even get any WoW hours in. Ah well. Maybe I should get Stumbleupon… ---

Yeah, why is it so hard to turn of the computer and pick up a book! I complain all the time that I don’t have time to read, but I waste so much time on the internets that it’s not even funny! I know that part of the reason is that I can surf and watch TV at the same time, so I feel like I’m being doubly . . . um . . . productive. Which is bull, because it means I’m not really paying attention to, or fully enjoying, either one. Ah, the troubles of the modern age. ---

StumbleUpon is good, but don’t use it too much, or you start scraping the bottom of the barrel and seeing the same three sites over and over, despite the fact you keep telling it you don’t like them. ---

This is how I used to feel about the television. I watched hours and hours and hours upon hours of stupid television shows I wasn’t even enjoying. Now I’m overweight and a compulsive eater. I suggest that when bored with the internet, go outside. ---
