Tickets? TICKETS? Well, ok. R/T Tickets to London 1st class on Virgin. What remains will buy you a mess of Private Jet. Board at Gatwick, wake up in Prague, etc… Europe will never be the same.
That’s exactly what I would say, though I would suggest the islands of Croatia . There are a lot of boats available for charter out of Split or Zadar.
If not that, then the Seychelles.
I’d settle for a date, much less a fiance and a honeymoon.
Rent a luxury motorhome and drive all over the country.

OK, this is weird. Here’s this thread (or here WAS this thread; it’s now disappeared) near the top of the IMHO forum page, showing 46 replies (+OP = 47 posts altogether) including one at 9:54am today, but I can only see posts 1-45, which are all from back in June 2005. So it’s been resurrected, but I can’t see the new posts.
There was a spam post but it’s been sent to the cornfield.
Ah - it was not a good post.
If it’s not too late to reply to the OP:
Away from the things of man, my love. Away from the things of man.

Two words: Ciao, Italia!
I imagine we’d have done the same thing we already did (Prague, Budapest and London), only we’d have flown first-class instead of coach. Maybe stay in nicer hotels if we had the cash available after the first-class tickets (assuming we could even afford the tickets).
Somewhere that we could see the Northern Lights in a romantic setting.
No, not Minnesota tonight! I was thinking something like northern Europe, Maine, Canada, Alaska. Maybe dog sleds and some brandy or mulled wine/glogg under the stars.
After that, we go to a warm beachy place where everyone speaks English. (I have food allergies and they’re difficult enough to communicate when we all speak the same native language).
We spend the remainder of the time doing beach stuff. I really miss swimming in warm water. Love snorkeling and all that kind of thing.
Cruise around all of South America, spending some time exploring the Galapagos Islands. 1 night in Cuzco, then on to Machu Picchu. A few days in Quito to visit friends, and then I would end it with an expedition to Antarctica.
Invest it in triple-tax free Treasury Bills. Re-invest the dividends in same automatically. And forget about it.
In 40 years, it’ll be rather useful.
That’s a lot more money than if normally spend in that amount of time. But if we had to spend it, I think we would do one heck of a trip around Brazil.
Hmmm. Our honeymoon was a week in a rented house at a beach in North Carolina.
15K would buy us round-trip tickets - first class, of course - to a beach in Hawaii, plus a very nice hotel to boot.
Or perhaps to somewhere in Europe. I’ve never been to Paris, and I think this omission must be rectified.
Consider Amsterdam’s Red Light District. Send the wife off to a museum while you go window shopping.
