ok, so i get this mail that tells me how fortunate i am to be **PRE-APPROVED** :rolleyes: then i get a phone call soliciting another credit card that i’ve been **PRE-APPROVED** for. So after i dont know how many pieces of damned mail about being pre approved for the past few weeks, this call that comes just an hour ago, a very polite and pleasant sounding woman on the other side of the line tells me i’m so lucky because i’m pre approved and that i will be totally satisfied. so i says to da lady, “do you even know what you are telling me? do you understand the words pre-approved mean nothing at all. you’re telling me i haven’t been approved yet.” “No sir, you are **PRE** approved” “exactly, which means, NOT-APPROVED-AS-OF-YET” “sir, perhaps this is a bad time” “no maam, thanx, but there is no good time for soliciting credit cards to the pre-approved, have a nice day” click. sorry i was so rash with her, but really, c’mon. how can a person just not understand that? Guess what, you are pre-approved to enter Heaven, yes, thats right, you, and it costs you nothing. Arent’ you lucky? Oh, and you are pre approved to win 5billion dollars tomorrow, did you all know that as well? well, shit, i’m so lucky, i’m pre-approved for just about everything i guess. sheesh. i’m not trying to rant, otherwise i would’ve posted in the pit, but why don’t people pick up on these things??? ---

Okay, I’ll take the dictionary and throw it in the trash now. In my experience there are two meanings to the word pre-approved. 1. You’ve been approved already, without applying etc. 2. You are in a state in which you have not yet been approved. Isn’t this language fun? ---
