My theme would be food. I’d visit all kinds of restaurants, cafes, street stands, you name it.
If I could wangle it I’d love to go back into the kitchen of European bakeries, and watch some of that nummy stuff being made. I’m a baker professioanlly myself, I might pick up some pointers.
For souvenirs I’d buy cookware and foodstuffs not readily available in the US.
