# Zacarias Moussaoui -- the early days

Moussaoui was arrested in mid-August, 2001 on an immigration charge. Are there any credible reports of his pre-9/11 captivity experience? What I’m trying to discover is whether he was languishing untended during the next few weeks in an INS holding cell, or was actively interrogated over time by anti-terrorist cops?  
I’m hoping there’s a factual answer to this.
