All it takes it the lopsided attitudes of society when it comes to such accusations. Since women can ruin men’s lives with little risk of retaliation, some will do so. I “live in fear” of such an accusation because I’ve seen them happen, I’ve seen men’s lives ruined by them, and I’ve seen women get away with doing so completely unscathed.
