A mistranslation of the phrase “tank farm” leads the Zeroes to a location where instead of finding a large storage facility for natural gas and petroleum they instead find a depot for rusting and unrepaired military vehicles. They opt to return to Ukraine without doing anything but are later hailed as heroes for “sabotaging” the tanks and APCs which break down on their own. ---

Gotcha. There’s that new Giuliani documentary coming out which might cover this… _Giuliani: How I broke the Italian mob (and got paid to let the Russian mafia take their place) without really trying._ Not the best title, but it gets the point across. ---

Our heros are sent on a mission to sabotage a tank brigade, sneaking through the night to search them out. They come across some tracks and follow them to where they find several tanks with their turrents firmly lodged in a cliffside. We see the backstory: the tanks were traveling at night, so the brigade commander called up google maps’ turn-by-turn navigation on his phone. But the voice was only in English, and there was only one soldier who had any English, so he struggled to translate the instructions and ended up leading the tanks into the cliff where they became stuck in the most useless way possible. ---

I don’t want to hijack the hijack, but do we need the Ukrainian commandos at all? Isn’t it really just Putin’s Putzes? A different guest star can be put in charge of these idiots every week, but after each failure he is called back to Moscow and never heard from again. Of course the idiots are intentionally screwing things up. They don’t care about Ukraine, they just hate Putin. ---

I do like the idea of something like this. In the opening the credit for the last guy is shown as he is dragged away, followed by the new actor and his credit. Not so sure about a new one in every scene. Some of the guest stars could do a good job in the role, maybe occasionally getting a second chance to screw up before disappearing in a two part episode. Or occasionally showing up later after their disappearance due to a bureaucratic mix-up or returning from a Siberian vacation. ---

Ok, but I wasn’t talking about no Ukrainians fighting the war on the show, just that a permanent cast of Ukrainian commandoes that in the end never accomplish anything is unnecessary. There are plenty of ways to highlight the Ukrainians and their heroic war effort, but I would think the point of the show is to laugh at the Russians. ---
