NinjaChick, I am a “convert” I never used a tampon until I was 30. It hurt so bad to insert one the first time I tried. So I always used pads, the extra big long heavy duty overnighters. Then when I got on the pill, my flow decreased DRAMATICALLY and those big pads were a waste. I put up with pads for a short while, then one time I was on vacation and there was a pool in the hotel that I didnt realize would be there. I wanted to swim really bad, but it was Period Time. So I broke down and used a tampon. Still initial discomfort, but I got it in quickly and easily and I’ve been hooked since. To the OP: 1. The string isnt that readily visible on me, but if it happens to be peeping out, I’ll tuck. NEVER snip, I dont wanna have to go diggin (sorry) 2. I always wear a panty liner, so I never moved the string, I’d just pee. But now that you’ve mentioned it, I think I’ll hold it to the side. Seems just a little cleaner. 3. When it gets wet, I just dry it with TP. I pee pretty frequently. 4. Me Myself and I. When I first got My Period, I went running to Mother Dear with the news. Her response? “Under the sink” ---

Just thought that you would like to know: I am a complete convert, no more pads and no more tampons, I will be using the Diva Cup from now on, except for the rare tampon use (my freaky boyfriend gets turned on by tampon strings!). 😛 ---

1. Do you ever tuck in your string or snip it when you will be naked in front of others? If I am on my period, I wear panties and a pad even when I am wearing a tampon, because thick clots find their way around tampons quite easily. 2. Do you move your string or pee on it? Some times I tuck it so I don’t pee on it if I hav just put the tampn in and have to pee. Usually I just take the tampon out. It is usually at least half full by the time I have to pee. 3. How do you manage a wet string? I take the tampon out. 4. From whom did you learn to do these things? me 5. Do you have any other string management tips you would care to share? No, mine are usually a soppy bloody mess within the hour, there is no managing that. ---

**1. Do you ever tuck in your string or snip it when you will be naked in front of others?** I have tucked and snipped in the past, but haven’t had reason to in recent memory. Mainly because my husband sees that little string as a joyous flag announcing his non-fatherhood. **2. Do you move your string or pee on it?** Either or, depends on the situation. **3. How do you manage a wet string?** Well, if I’m going to the bathroom, I just pat it with toliet paper. I don’t wear a tampon whilst in the shower or bath. **4. From whom did you learn to do these things?** Figured it out all on my own. **5. Do you have any other string management tips you would care to share?** I didn’t even realize I had “string management” concerns or opinions at all until reading this thread! ---
