The fur gives it a texture that is very unique, and makes the whole fruit a bit chewier instead of just being green mush. ---

For some reason, kiwis hurt my teeth like the devil, unless they’re cut up into bite-sized pieces. ---

I also hate zest when it adds a noticeable bitter taste. I think that if it is done right that it shouldn’t. I don’t own a zester because I hardly ever bake. When I have a recipe that calls for zest I usually leave it out. I’d rather leave it out than screw it up. RE: Kiwi fruit: I used to love kiwi fruit and would sometimes eat the skin. Then one day I ate a kiwi fruit and my tongue started itching. Ever since then, I cannot eat a kiwi fruit – either with or without skin) without my tongue itching. I must have developed an allergy to them. It’s too bad because I really enjoyed the taste of kiwi fruit. [sub]Just thinking about eating a kiwi fruit is almost enouth to make my tongue itch.[/sub] ---
