It’s probably for the same reason he wanted to talk to the prosecutor. He wants to remediate his image to the public. I don’t blame him. But I dunno about this move. What could a sit-down meeting with them accomplish that a heartfelt letter couldn’t, other than attention-whoring? ---

Zimmerman talks way too much. If I were his lawyer, I’d advise him to stop talking to anybody other than his defense team about the incident. ---

I think he is just poor, dumb guy who knows that he ended someone’s life unnecessarily. If he is in a cell, I hope he is on suicide watch because I can believe that he is feeling immense guilt. ---

In case you’re not just joking, that would be a very bad idea, since Florida requires both parties in a conversation to consent to being recorded. ---

That isn’t the impression I got from his website where he was begging for money and supporters and put up a photo of a building someone had vandalized with the words “Long Live Zimmerman”. It’s one thing to think we don’t have enough evidence to make a call (although I think we do) but it’s another thing entirely to actually celebrate him, and he seems to be in favor of being celebrated. ---

I meant Martin’s parents should go and wear a wire. And my understanding is that the police/DA have a lot more latitude when it comes to wearing a wire to a conversation than regular people do. That’s why I said get them involved. ---

Maybe he wants to ask them for some cash so he can buy some Skittles at the jail canteen. Jeez, this guy is his own worst enemy. I think he’s enjoying all the attention and trying to keep the press from getting distracted by things like the Secret Service scandal or whatever some Kardashian did recently, and this was the stupidest/best idea he could come up with.
