**Kansas**. I realize it’d still be hemmed in by the rest of the country, but hell, it’s still fighting progress where evolution is concerned, and it regularly backs Bush… Oh, hell. Kansans can’t all be crackpots. I have faith that the moderate conservatives in that state will eventually overthrow the Sam Brownback/Fred Phelps crowd. And they’ll sooner or later come around and admit, for the most part, that dinosaurs once did exist. So they’re in. I won’t vote off **Texas** , because it doesn’t make logical sense that rightists will keep control of the place. I see it becoming more of a swing state in the next decade or so, so… I won’t be hasty. Keep Texas (but I’ll gladly vote the Bushes off.) How about **Idaho**? All they produce is potatoes and handguns. And _Napoleon Dynamite_. The scenery sure is pretty, though. If they could just vote some decent congresscritters in, I might stand up for them. Otherwise… enjoy your independence, Gem of the Mountains. With every citizen armed to the teeth, we won’t dare invade! Okay, I vote off Idaho. I’d better vote fast; if I mull over any more states, I’ll be that much closer to pissing _every_body off… ---
