Texas, Texas, Texas. - It has the ugliest cities in the United States, excepting maybe Austin. - We can raise cattle elsewhere - there’s a lot of empty space in the Dakotas, Montana and Wyoming. - If it’s so rich in liquid dinosaur, why are we importing everything from OPEC? ---

While I agree that 90 percent of Texas needs to be given the heave-ho, we have to find someway to keep Austin in the Union. We like them, they like us, and their town is incredibly unique with tons of character and the best live music scene in the country. It’s a jewel, and despite the state it’s in, the University of Texas is a fine school. But what’s there to like about Mississippi? Or North Dakota? Nothing. I would put both of them above Texas, which at least has _one_ cool place to offer. I keep Florida around; it amuses me. ---

Before the statewide property tax went into effect the property tax for the town I grew up in was $41/$1,000 and it wasn’t the highest, because one town (Derry maybe?) in Rockingham county was up to $48/$1,000. Ain’t being #50 in government funding for education grand? ---

Utah. It’s like a whole different world, anyway. Give them some coconuts and fishing wire and send them on their way. Do any other states still honor the “alienation of affection” defense/prosecution in divorce suits? Just curious. ---

Ooh-it’s hard to choose! I say Georgia–there are some weird ass people in GA. Where else do they argue about putting stickers on textbooks that debunk evolution etc? Oh, yeah-the rest of the Bible belt! And what about that guy and his crematorium who DIDN’T bury those bodies a few years back? Georgia on my mind, I’m telling ya… But in my heart of hearts–Texas all the way. Go away and buh-bye! See ya, woulnd’t want to be ya etc. Although I do see a case for Utah. blech (scenery is beautiful, though). and Oklahoma wouldn’t be missed-we have the musical for land’s sake, what else do we need from there? ---
