How can you be south of a place in the deep south and not be considered in the deep south? Is this one of those things like how I maintain that it makes no difference how old a record is; if it wasn’t recorded between 1955 and 1963 it ain’t an oldie? ---

I think she’s trolling. I am not WASP - i think lots of people know that - I am adopted, illigitimate, and extend my hand first to shake regularly. I also shake with a medium-firm, confident grip, although I am very careful to adjust my grip to the person (I shake old people’s hands very gently, for example). I wonder what all that makes me. Evil of some stripe, no doubt. How many pins would I have to wear? ---

I think you can get a digital lapel pin with LCD (like an electronic picture frame) that lets you slide-show through all of them without weighting your jacket down too much. ---

So, if a man reaches out and squeezes a woman’s breasts instead of attempting to shake hands, what would said woman’s reactions most likely be AND why is that reaction (which I anticipate won’t be swept under the rug) so different than handshake rape, if handshaking is so fuckin’ awful? All I can glean from this thread is that I should be grabbing and groping women – maybe raping them in the non ZPG sense. I’ve been raping them while simultaneously ripping myself off. ---

The U.S. is too ethnically diverse and too multiracial now. The only way in the U.S. you are likely to know someone is Roma is if they still live in the community (and you’ve identified that) and/or tell you. Sort of like knowing if someone is Jewish - if they dress Orthodox and/or live in the community, you can tell - but a big nose is insufficient evidence. (My grandmother was Roma).
