PDA for Mac recommendations, please.

I'm going to buy a handheld (tax return coming ( ), and I need to chose between these two;
Visor™ Prism
The Palm™ m130
I use a palm 105 at work, so I'm familiar with palm. But the Visor is reputed to be friendlier with my Mac OS. Both cost around $300. The Visor comes with a camera, and that's kinda cool , but less stuff is available for it than the Palm. Color display is a must.
Either way it'll be just another gadget, but I'd like to get the best for my money.
Any advice?
Peace,
mangeorge

I bought a Visor after my Palm jumped onto the floor and stopped working.

All right, I dropped the damn thing, if you must know!

I chose the Visor because 1) it was cheaper, 2) there was an expanded Appointment calendar with some extra features.

The Handsprings, as far as I know, use the Palm OS, so although applications labelled "For Visor" may be unusual, pretty well anything for the Palm OS will work. The exception would, of course, be mechanically-linked devices like the TaleLight or the folding keyboard; the synch/interface connectors are different on the Palm and the Visor.

Since you're looking for advice more than facts, I'll move this thread to IMHO.

Both Palms and Visors use the Palm OS, so both are equally Mac friendly. Sony also makes Palm OS PDAs that are Mac compatible, so check these out for a color model.

The Prism is old technology (you can see the grids) and I would think that the Palm's screen would be nicer to look at. Be mindful that Handspring is getting out of the strict PDA biz; they will base the future on the Treo and maybe Blackberry clone platforms.

It is too bad that the color Palm OS-driven PDAs cannot have as nice a screen at the competing PocketPC models (which are not very Mac friendly).

That all being said, there is lots more hardware addons for the Prism in terms of the Springboard modules. I have a Deluxe and the backup module and the Visorphone. Both have served me well.

Thanks, guys. I went ahead and got the Palm m130. It's similar to the 105 I have for work and that makes things easier on the old synapses.
Also, there's a lot of stuff available as downloads. Color is actually pretty good if you play with the contrast a little.
Peace,
mangeorge
