"Official" Islamic response to fate of Palestinian collaboration suspects.

The Canadian newspaper Globe and Mail ran an article May 8 regarding possible Islamic response to the recent exhumation of suspected Al-Qaeda fighters in Afghanistan, http://www.globeandmail.com/servlet/...esults_start=1

A professor of religious studies at the Univ. of Alberta felt this was outrageous
Quote:
Prof. Waugh added: "Unless the Americans can come up with a better excuse than that they're looking for bin Laden, there's nothing about this that the Islamic world is going to accept."
Which got me wondering ... there have been news-photos recently of the corpses of suspected Palestinian collaborators being dragged along the streets by their killers/executioners. Has there been any "official" Islamic/Arab response to this?

Please note the specifics of my question. I am not concerned with the propriety of the exhumations, or suggesting that "turn-about is fair play". I am asking whether there has been condemnation of the treatment of the Palestinian collaborator's corpses in the Arab media.

There's no such thing as an "official" Islamic response to something, unless the Koran or Hadith unambiguously addresses that something. Unlike many Christian religions, such as the Catholic Church, there is no single "head of state" who speaks on behalf of the religion or its followers.

By "official", I meant statements by respected Imams, reported in (usually government-controlled) newspapers or the Al-Jazeera television network, etc.

Thank you - Gulf News is a good site to know. I was unable to find anything, however; and the fact that it is the English version and is on-line means that "sanitization" is a concern.
