Where does the term "Fucko off" come from?

I’ve heard this in some posts, where does Fucko off come from? Fucko sounds like the name of a dirty clown.

Unless I miss my guess it belongs to an old friend of ours named ‘Wildest Bill’.

Bill was…interesting. He was either a troll or some weird version of crazed.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but I believe that some former troll wrote this as a typo for “fuck off”. Same story for “Gotcha ya,” which was from WildestBill.

The unctuous troll responsible for that crackwas one of the worst I’ve ever seen.

from the same place as “bullshittie da”?

Sounds Australian to me:

“The little buggah nipped right inta me, like I was his tuckah! Fucko off!”

Or something along those lines…

I do believe the origin of the phrase can be found in this thread. Happy reading.

Thank you, zut. I missed that the first time around.

What a piece of work.

Somehow, that word being highlighted in red makes it even funnier.

Which, honest to God, was why I left the “&highlight=fucko” intact in the URL.

LMAO! Just read the “Fucko off” post… Asshat…

OK so where’s the original “gotcha ya” thread? I have to admit, this has mystified me for a very long time.

Gotcha ya came from the thread I Am Going To Blow People Mind’s At My Funeral
(thanks to Green Bean in the Funniest posts thread)

Thanks TTT. So “ya” was a typo? Did he mean to type “y’all” or something?

Lol, gotcha ya!

I’m guessing that he was trying to decide between typing “gotcha” and “got ya,” and accitdentally typed “gotcha ya.”

Anyone remember “shoehorn butterhorse”?

I do, Already. A beautiful piece of prose that was.

Why do people like Uekte and Wildest Bill get banned, when they are a source of such undeniable humor?

…what?

Well, the Uekte Incident was before my time at the SDMB, more’s the pity. But I was wondering if anyone ever found out who he/she/it really was. It seems to me vanishingly unlikely that anyone so sputteringly vituperative is going to choose a Norweigan term meaning “false, bastard, insincere” as a username instead of something more along the lines of “Metalthrash” or “OldiesmustDIE.” Also, the meaning “false” seems to hint that this person was perhaps already an established presence on the boards. Is there any more to this story? Just curious.

By the by, I envision “Fucko off!” as being most effectively delivered in conjunction with an overly vigorous bird-flipping, almost as though trying to flick a booger off one’s middle finger.
