Fantasy baseball help
I need to fill 4 spots (OF, OF, OF, UT) in my lineup today with the following 5 guys. Stats are for the last week. Players in parentheses are opposing pitchers season totals.
Code:
GP R HR RBI SB AVG M. Ramirez @Tex (Thomson, 2.27, 6 HR in 4 G) 7 5 2 4 0 .522 T. Nixon @Tex (Thomson, 2.27, 6 HR in 4 G) 7 3 0 5 0 .333 G. Sheffield Stl (Morris, 2.43, 4 HR in 4 G) 6 8 2 4 1 .333 B. Jordan @Cin (Reitsma, 0 G) 6 5 0 3 0 .300 E. Durazo Det (Bonderman, 10.22, 3 HR 3 G) 6 5 2 9 0 .435 I guess I'm leaning towards sitting Nixon, but he's just the kind of player to bust out and knock in 5 on the day you don't play him. Any input? |

I think you sit Trot. It was between him and Jordan, but he's going to be in GAB against an unknown pitcher in a terrible rotation.
Oh, and you're up in the mock draft. |

OK, so I'm about to be no help, but ... Nixon's only had 1 HR away so far all season and only 4 RBIs. If I had those guys, I'd sit him.

See, I hadn't looked at home/away splits. That is excellent help, thanks rockle.
Man -- over the weekend some nincompoop proposed Torii Hunter for Jordan, and I stupidly failed to rush to my league to accept the trade; when I got there this morning he had withdrawn the trade. I pulled Jordan off the waiver wire in this league (yahoo public). Served me well so far, but turning him into Hunter would have been a coup. (made my mock pick, thx Munch) |

I think you should sit Ramirez. He won't be hot forever you know.
Deb (Well I need to be able to move up in the standings and if giving bad advice is the way to do it, a person has to do what a person has to do I am thinking of having a meeting with my pitchers and kicking their butts, they aren't that bad on paper, but in actuality they suck so far and I am sure they haven't swallowed)

Different league, but I appreciate the thought Deb.
