Those nice-looking Kung-Fu gis

So what about those nice-looking Kung-Fu shirts? Are they really as comfortable as they look? I'm thinking about getting one simply to wear. Although I did study martila arts, its was a less flashy style than anything you'll see in "The Matrix". Most importantly, will I be randomly attacked by ninjas, rival martial arts masters, and strange-looking B-movie demons out of the ancient world if I wear one?

I don't know about the shirts, (have a link to the particular shirts you're referring to?),
but I wear my gi trousers around the house quite often. They are more comfortable than pajama bottoms, and look better.

Thats it, more or less, although I want something less flashy. C'mon, doesn't that look comfy?

Well,
personal preference...I don't like that traditional look.

I prefer a plain black T-shirt with my gi trousers...nothing flashy.

Well, I can't speak for kung-fu uniforms, but I've got some old TKD uniforms that have been relegated to PJ status. Not the tops, mind you, they're sitting in my closet (well, other than once being unearthed for a history video in which Abe LIncoln was sparring with Modern Cynical History Student, but that's a different tale...). The pants, though, are mighty comfy. Nice and broken in, too. Go for an all-cotton set, though. It'll shrink if you put it in the dryer, but they're just nice.

Oops, I forgot to say: my problems thus far with being attacked by B-movie extras, the undead, and the Bruce Lee-esque have been surprisingly small.

It all depends on what they're made out of.
The satin and silk ones are fairly comfy but they have a tendency to stick to a sweaty body. I find that uncomfortable.
There are some stiff cotton ones that are relatively cheap. They are comfy, but hot.
The ones that I would reccomend are the lightweight cotton ones. These, however, have a tendency to be absolute magnets for strange-looking B-movie demons out of the ancient world. Just tell them that you already work for the dark side.

I would've thought with a name like that they'd be swarming like mosquitos in June.

Ya know, I didn't realize years ago that the cool Bruce Li kung fu stuff (is that what you're talking about) is in reality your bog standard Chinese peasant outfit...
