I am colorblind. When I say this, I don’t mean that I only see in black, white, and shades of grey. What I mean is that I don’t distinguish between colors very well. I remember taking a test at the eye doctor where I was supposed to be able to see letters and numbers in some pictures. The less you could make out, the more colorblind you were. I saw one out of fifteen.
Anyway, I’ve heard that my type of colorblindness is common in people with green or blue eyes (mine are blue) and nearly non-existant in those with brown or darker eyes. Is this true? Is there actually a link between the color of your eyes and the colors you can see?
