Do those Ionic Breeze air purifiers in the Sharper Image catalogs really justify the high price or are they just pretty little high tech toys for rich people?
The latter. I’m convinced that a TV does a better job of removing airborne contaminants.

Wow, voltaire beat me to it. My husband’s a mechanical engineer, and he told me that you’d do just as well to leave your TV on and wipe the dust off the screen periodically!
