You do not believe that there is a Santa.
If you tell someone that Santa exists, you are lying.
If you lie to someone, they should not trust you.

The bigger question might be: If you are taught by your parents to believe in a “GOD” and you later learn that there is no “GOD”, Do you no longer trust the parents?
This may be a different issue than the OP since the parents believe in God and therefore are not “lying”.
