Not so mundane and pointless: I hadn’t realized this was coming up this quickly. Apparently Michigan’s Senate votes tomorrow (Feb 5) on Senate Joint Resolution E which proposes to put an amendment on the ballot which would redefine marriage as only between one man and one woman. There is an identical resolution proposed in the House, but I don’t have information on when that will be voted upon. Each resolution is available in text and PDF form on both of those pages.
If you live in Michigan, please write your state senator and representative TODAY to let them know exactly what you think of this amendment idea. Hopefully they’ll take note of today’s Massachusetts advisory before they vote…
