I am sorry to tell all of you that his father-in-law passed away last Friday evening, and he and his family are in Indiana for the funeral. His mother-in-law doesn't have a 'puter, so he will be incommunicado til next week. They are due to get back sometime on Sunday.
He said to tell everyone why he isn't here, and that he misses all of you bozos a lot.  I got that in an e-mail he sent me Saturday morning, but I had gone out of town and just got back yesterday late.Post your regards here, and I will make sure he reads them all next week asap.

Thank you to all of those who have replied to this. And GBS, yes, I do miss my dear friend. It's been months since we've gone so long without chatting at least once. I am keeping VB, his wife, and girls in my prayers.

To give everyone a quick update, VB and family got home late last night. He sent me an email this morning and said that they were really tired and he would be taking today off and resting and taking care of the house. He may not be on his computer much until tomorrow, and will read this then.
