I heard a snatch of this folk song that I knew as a really young kid. I've got part of the melody stuck in my head and a very small part of the lyrics. Can anyone help me with the rest of it? What I remember of the lyrics follow.
A fox went out (something something) night and he prayed to the moon to give him light. He had many miles to go that night before he reached the town-o. Any help? What remains of my sanity is in your hands.
