Is there a word which fits this definition?

Can anyone think of a word which fits this definition:

"Reluctance to commit because of a belief (or fear) that something better might be just around the corner"

The background - My friend and I have been interviewing potential housemates. Some are OK, but noone's perfect, so we are reluctant to choose. If there's not a word, does anyone care to make one up?
