I don’t know how long this .PDF is going to stay up, and I warn you: it’s a long, LONG story.
But very worthwhile for anyone who’s ever been scammed on eBay.
The Long, Sordid Tale of the P-P-P-Powerbook
I’m simply speechless.

Oh my gosh, thats such a great story. The pppowerbook picture is a classic! I wonder how the story ended or what messageboard its from.
Heh. Great story isn’t it? You can read the the whole sordid saga on the Something Awful Forums. Warning: The thread is 81 pages long!
My favorite part was the scratched out windows symbol replaced with the command symbol from the mac.
I love it.
That was just BRILLIANT!
I am so glad someone else followed this saga. It was a rush hopping on board the P-P-P-Powerbook train everyday, to see if anything had happened. I was so hoping for a furious email from Scammerboy, though. Nothing yet, however, unless MyNameIsJeff got one last night (and I haven’t gone to the thread to find out anything since yesterday morning.)
This is hitting the rounds of the message boards like Scylla’s “The Horror of Blimps” did. Internet history and hilarity at its finest!
If there are any more developments in the story please let us know. I’m also hopeing to see a furious e-mal from Scammerboy!
I live for stuff like this. I hate scammers and I love pranks. I wish I could have seen the look on his face when he realized that he was the world’s most watched jackass.
