Whatever happened with that P-p-p-p-powerbook scam?

I’ve Googled it, but only come up with the original 28pg pdf file that gets up to the point where the “scammer” is supposed to pick up his “notebook”.

Nothing much. Using deductive reasoning, they concluded that the scammer must have picked up the box but no one witnessed him doing it, and that was the end of the story because no contact was ever made after that.

Much discussion was had about terrorizing the barber shop where the box was delivered with cryptic messages and/or calling the police on him, but it was eventually decided to do nothing. The London spy decided that enough time had been devoted to the project, and people were getting kinda nasty with their suggestions for meting out justice, so operation crap-in-a-box went defunct.

The seller did get his money, right?

 Now you’ve got me interested, what is this about?

The details

It’s the 28pg pdf file I mentioned.

An amazing tale.

According to this site,

It would appear that the original author is the poster of this thread so, maybe there will be updates forthcoming.

Cool. I’ll have to bookmark that site.

That thread is a long one, but worth every word to read it.

look closely, the story goes on, for a little bit…

Part 4 is here.

I hope the guy is okay!

Well that was a bit anti-climactic. I did love the, er, Apple site toting the P-p-p-powerbook.
