I'm tired of Leo (all power plays) and Cancer (always shown as getting things indirectly). Scorpio only gets battle scenarios. Etc. Boooring.

The Chinese have a different set of animals, but still not very evocative.

I'm planning on picking naming some new constellations, that fit modern times. And, I hope to select more memorable "outline" stars so they look right when shown in the planetarium shows. (No more "You got a bear out of that mess?")

I'm thinking along these lines (I'm not much into animal analogies) ( but please tell me your own Theme!):

The Traveler (would get a lot of it'sa-good-day-to-start something messages)
The Optimist (lots of possibilities)
The Colonel (food in every forecast)
Mr. Mellow (for August )

What else?

The Bastard: the sign of that guy who gets all the breaks
The Pessimist: the sign of the dead of winter
The Monkey: just because monkeys are cool.

Bob, the sign of the guy that can get killed all the time and yet never die (kind of like Kenny, 'cept Bob can die more than once per episode, AND I invented him eight years ago!)

I like the "new outline" idea. How about going metric with only 10 constellations. Then the predictions would finally match numerology, the only true predictor for the weak minded.

(My sister in law actually changed her name's spelling to match some jerks numbering prophesy. Then she divorced my brother "to study the piano professionally", and has been a hash cook in Toledo ever since.)

If you just want to have fun, it sounds OK, but some fools will believe it and some charlatans will make a ton of money off your ideas.

Saaay, can I have dibs on Grand Charlatan? I already have a Merlin costume.
